How can I help you?

After 14 years at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., it's finally time to move on.

After a decade as coordinator of the Journalism concentration, Electronic Journalism minor, and the Sport Communication minor in the Communication Department, I'm about to begin what the Virginia Retirement System calls the "R" word but what I call doing less, better.

A big part of doing less, better is my "Journalism for the Rest of Us" initiative. If you're interested in a journalism workshop, seminar or program for your K-12 school program, check for information by clicking on the link at the top of this page or just contact me by email.

I'm going to miss my Mason students on a daily basis, but this is a new chapter I hope will attract many new students. Journalism, after all, isn't just for journalists. It's for the rest of us!

The place to meet on the Fairfax campus

The George Mason statue is kitty-corner to the Johnson Center and the Mason Pond Parking Deck, where guests can easily park on the first three levels (Fairfax campus map). As soon-to-be emeritus faculty, I'm always happy to meet with friends and my former Mason students on campus.
